Power BI page analytics

Power BI page-level usage metrics for decisions below the report.

UsageVault connects available page activity, audience reach, and opening performance so report owners can see which pages earn attention, which are ignored, and which slow experiences affect the most users.

Questions page data answers

Prioritize redesign and performance work with evidence.

Value

Which pages are actually used?

Compare page views, unique viewers, repeat engagement, and distribution instead of treating every report page as equally valuable.

Friction

Which slow pages affect users?

Combine available opening-time evidence with audience reach so high-impact performance work rises above low-use outliers.

Coverage

Which pages can be matched?

Monitor page-link coverage and ambiguous or missing mappings so conclusions are based on a visible data-quality boundary.

From signal to action

Use the same evidence for different decisions.

  • PromoteHigh-value pages with strong engagement that more users should know about.
  • OptimizePopular pages whose opening performance creates meaningful user friction.
  • RedesignImportant pages with weak engagement or confusing paths that need investigation.
  • ConsolidateOverlapping or fragmented pages where usage patterns suggest simplification.
  • Retire or monitorLow-use pages that warrant an owner review, business-context check, or defined observation period.

Usage data supports a decision; it does not replace business context. UsageVault surfaces evidence and recommended next steps, while owners remain accountable for the final content decision.

What page information is available?

Availability depends on supported Microsoft interfaces, licensing, permissions, tenant configuration, and link quality. Microsoft notes that Usage Metrics and audit logs are collected differently and that report page views are not part of the audit logs. Review the current Microsoft Usage Metrics limitations before treating sources as interchangeable.

UsageVault preserves the source evidence that is available and exposes coverage or data-quality limitations in the delivered model. See how this works across multiple workspaces.
